Are you interested in learning more about the latest industry trends and networking with biomedical engineering industry professionals? Join the Western Biomedical Engineering Club and Engineering Career Services for a virtual Biomedical Engineering Industry Spotlight event on November 16th!
This event will consist of pitches from industry experts to discuss their roles and companies they work for. You will have the opportunity to participate in a short design challenge, where you will engage directly with employers and work on a real-life problem encountered in industry! The event will conclude with a Q&A period, followed by open networking where you will have the chance to ask more questions and discuss potential employment opportunities. Zoom links will be sent to all registrants – check your @uwo.ca email account the afternoon of November 16! Industry representatives from the following companies will be in attendance:

While we can’t be together in person this year for Homecoming 2020, we can still come together virtually to celebrate. Join us this Homecoming weekend to learn more about WEBMC and to take part in a casual discussion with our exec team. First Virtual General Member Meeting of the year where we introduced our exec team, our mission, and upcoming events planned for the school year. Members had the opporunity to give their input on new events they'd like to see for the coming year as well!
Virtually introduced WEBMC to first year engineering students. We recieved a lot of interest and several new sign-ups! Remember it's never too late to sign-up!
WE BMC and Engineering Career Services collaborated to host the first Biomedical Engineering Industry Spotlight event! Undergraduate students who atteneded learned of the latest industry trends, different biomedical engineering businesses, and networked with industry professionals.

A panel made up of eight graduate students presented their path to graduate school and information on current and past research. This event gave students the opportunity to lear more about graduate and research possibilites in biomedical engineering. Students were able to network with the graduate students after presentations were complete. Toured Trudell Medical, an industry leader in designing and manufacuring the highest quality aerosol drug delivery and lung health devices for the management of respiratory conditions, located in London, ON. The tour was approximately an hour long and included an info presentation and in-depth tour of their manufacturing facilities. For more information on Trudell Medical check out their website here.
